FMS-12 FIREFLY MAGIC®
SOLAR POWERED LIGHTS

The Model FMS-12 FIREFLY MAGIC® Solar Powered Firelfy Light set has twelve (12) electronic fireflies and is operated by Ni-Cd batteries that are recharged during sunny days by solar energy. To operate effectively, the control unit with the solar cell on top must be placed in an area that has direct sunlight for a few hours each day. It is also recommended that the control unit not be subjected to frequent watering as mineral deposits will build up on the solar cell reducing its long term efficiency.

Firefly Lights:

• 12 each - 3mm x 570 nanometer dominant wavelength output replicating the Arthropoda: Insecta: Coleoptera: Lampyridae: Photinus species of firefly and their greenish-yellow flashes.

• Each Firefly's flash rate and flash interval is accurately preprogrammed into the non-volatile memory of the microprocessor unit.

• The microprocessor and all other electronic components are sealed with space age polyurethane in a waterproof ABS plastic housing to insure years of operation.

• The microprocessor 'brain' iand electronics are contained in a plastic garden lantern (as shown). NOTE - The lantern does not light.

Firefly Wires - Each electronic firefly is connected to the microprocessor using a small diameter, dark brown, UL approved, sunlight-resistant outdoor wire that can be easily shaped, twisted and attached to foliage, blending seamlessly into your landscaping.

SPECIAL NOTE: It is important that the solar panel on the top of the lantern receive at least 2-3 hours of DIRECT SUNLIGHT each day to maintain a full charge in the two (2) AA Ni-Cd batteries that power the microprocessor and electronic 'fireflies'. The 'fireflies' will stop operating if there is insufficient sunlight.
