The Model FMS-14 FIREFLY MAGIC® Solar Powered Firefly Light set has fourteen (14) electronic fireflies and is operated by two AA - Ni-Cd batteries that are recharged during sunny days by solar energy. To operate effectively, the solar panel must be placed in a location that receives 2-3 hours of direct sunlight during the day. It is also recommended that the solar panel assembly not be subjected to frequent watering as mineral deposits may build up on the solar panel reducing its long term efficiency.

14 each Patented 'Firefly' LEDs that replicate the Arthropoda: Insecta: Coleoptera: Lampyridae: Photinus species of firefly and their greenish-yellow flashes.

Each Firefly's flash rate and flash interval is accurately preprogrammed into the non-volatile memory of the microprocessor units.

The microprocessors and all other electronic components are sealed in waterproof ABS plastic to insure years of operation.
Firefly Wires - Each electronic firefly is connected to the microprocessor using a small diameter, black, UL approved, sunlight-resistant wire that can easily be wrapped, threaded, shaped, twisted and attached to foliage, blending into your landscaping.
Power Requirements:
- 2 - 1.2 Volts Ni-Cd batteries - included
- NiCd batteries can be easily replaced with 2 - AA standard Alkaline batteries for indoor use, and will last for up to 6 weeks of continuous 'Firefly' flashing, flickering, and fading.

SPECIAL NOTE: It is recommended that the solar panel receive at least 4 hours of DIRECT SUNLIGHT each day to maintain a full charge in the two (2) AA Ni-Cd batteries that power the microprocessors and electronic 'Fireflies'. If the 'Fireflies' stop operating because there is insufficient sunlight, they will automatically restart when the sun recharges the batteries.
